Until I obtained this card for myself, I could not work out where this building once stood.

It stood on the corner of Station Road and Dover Place, on the opposite corner to that where Papa John's Pizza parlour now stands, formerly Dove's Funeral Directors.

Looking up the road you are looking at the location of what is now the sorting office. What makes it so difficult to work out is that the huge Ashford Working Men's Club building does not exist yet on the right. I think that should stand roughly where the first tall building can be seen on the right.

So much has changed now, the large new brown-brick building now stands on the site of the school. I think this view is probably one of the most unrecognisable I have in my collection.
